Chosen from among men, Trevor L. Johnson accepted his call to ministry in 1982 while still a student at Compton High School in Compton California. Under the wisdom and guidance of Pastor Bobby Cain, Trevor grew exceptionally in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Trevor was licensed in 1983 and later ordained in 1985 by Pastor Bobby Cain. An accomplished composor and musician Trevor served at Brister Memorial B.C. in several areas including Music Dir., Sunday school, Assistant to the Pastor, and was instrumental in organizing many church choirs and two recording groups of his own. His compelling presentation of the gospel transcends multicutural lines to touch those who need the Lord. In January 2006, Trevor was installed as Pastor of Christ Tabernacle MBC in Long Beach, Califonia. Under his leadership, the church has earned the rep as one of the fastest growing churches in the city. Pastor Johnson was inducted into "Who's-Who" in 2007, is currently pursuing his MDiv. degree at Fuller Theological Seminary, and is founder of www.africanamericanpastors.ning.com.
